The purpose of the Ambler Area Running Club is to develop and promote local running and racing, to provide running-related information and social activities, and to enhance training opportunities in a supportive atmosphere for runners of all abilities. AARC provides these activities in a way that promotes the well-being of the community.
In addition to our annual Frostbite 5-Miler, summer 5K Race, weekly fun runs, and seasonal track workouts, AARC sponsors classes, group runs, safety programs, and clinics. Plus, AARC is simply a great place to meet other runners!
Membership provides many benefits. In addition to supporting local running activities and races, membership entitles you to:
Fun Runs (year-round!)
Track Workouts (seasonal)
Monthly Traveling Fun Runs with great refreshments
Social events, like the Winter Dinner Party, Summer Family Picnic, W(h)ine and Cheese Reception, etc.
Group travel / amenities (extra fee) at the big Philadelphia races such as a chartered bus to The Broad Street Run.
Notification of local races & running events
Receive a discount on all purchases at:
- Born To Run in Springhouse (10% all non-sale items)
- Jenkintown Running Company in Jenkintown (10% on shoes)
- North Wales Running Company in North Wales (10%)
- The Run Around in Roslyn (15%)
- Philadelphia Runner in Philadelphia (10%)
Race proceeds benefit local non-profit organizations nominated by members.

The Fine Print:
Membership Dues
• $34/year (individual)
First-time members who join in December through March will be credited for the following year. First-time members who join from June through November will be charged a pro-rated amount. Membership is renewable annually on March 15.
• $44/year (family)All renewals are charged for the full year.
