Inaugural run Saturday, November 1, 20148:00 – 9:00 AM (rain or shine)Wissahickon Valley Park

This running group is open to anyone who wants to get or stay sober. We are a group of recovering people who enjoy running with others in recovery. We welcome beginning and experienced runners. No matter how fast or slow you go, you will not run alone! The point is fellowship and healthy living in sobriety.

Meet at Northwestern Avenue and Forbidden Drive in the Wissahickon Valley Park, near Northwestern Avenue and Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill.

We will start promptly at 8:00 AM and break into two groups:Beginning runners: gentle warm up, then a 1-mile run at a slow pace, then stretching and talking about beginning a running routine.  Experienced runners: up to 5-mile run on packed gravel (round trip to Valley Green Inn and back on Forbidden Drive) at an easy pace.

When both groups are back together at the start, we will have a few minutes of open sharing, followed by a traditional closing. Afterwards, Bruno’s Restaurant (Northwestern Avenue and Germantown Avenue) is a great place for fellowship over coffee or breakfast, at your own cost.  Contact
