Ambler Area Running Club
Welcoming runners of all abilities.
In December, 1777, General George Washington led the Continental Army to a Traveling Fun Run in Valley Forge. Washington described Valley Forge as "a dreary kind of place and uncomfortably provided.", however, the miles of trails over rolling hills made for great running.
Join us for a re-enactment of Washington's Traveling Fun Run in Valley Forge National Historical Park on Saturday Feb. 15th at 8:00 AM. We'll meet at the visitor center parking lot and run the 5 mile loop past the monuments and historical structures. Shorter and longer options for walking, running and cycling are available. After the run, we'll have breakfast together at Founding Farmers (downstairs) in the Promenade in King of Prussia.
Use this link for directions to VF Park. https://goo.gl/maps/K8DnwtuwNHs It's only 20 minutes from the Ft. Washington turnpike entrance to the park. When you enter the park from the main entrance on N. Gulph Rd, make the first right turn and follow signs to the Visitor Parking Lot. We'll meet at the picnic tables to the right of the restrooms.
